The second coffee class, hosted by Paul Mackey, will be held at Christ the King on Saturday, April 30, at 10:00 am. Targeting both beginners and pros, this is a free event.
The one day conference at Christ the King was attended by people from around the state. The goal was to promote an appreciation and focus on the Gospel as the platform for orthodoxy, church life, and engaging culture.
Paul Mackey led a great 1st session on the basics of coffee. We covered drip and french press, plus the basics of beans, grinding, and preparation. These are free sessions and are prototypes of a class series which may be offered to the community. Feel free to attend the next two, even if you missed the first one. The cost is free, and coffee is provided . . . the whole time. The next sessions will cover hand-pouring, ice-coffee, and more. Stay tuned for a scheduled date in April.
Folk singer, Zach WInters, will be live at the American Legion in Belfast on the night of July 11. Tickets will be $10. Students and seniors are $5 and children 12 and under are free.
Saturday, July 18, Ant Coughlin will be presenting a live hip hop show. This is free and open to the public. Starting time 7:oo pm. Please invite anyone you'd like. Here's a video of his work.
