Christ the King Church

local believers

Christ the King Church is a fellowship of Christian believers. We are committed to the good news . . . that God is good, and He saves sinners. We meet on Sundays at 4:oo pm in Room #330 of The Belfast Center (9 Field St., Belfast). The service is followed by a potluck.

Created to Worship

God is to be worshiped.  He is worth all of our worship.  He created us for it.  We are designed to recognize and celebrate the unmatched, manifold majestic beauty of who He is and what He does.  For all that He is and everything that He does is entirely fit to be worshipped.  And as such created beings, when we join in worship of the Lord, we find our rightful position; our rightful point of view.  We find ourselves joined with the host of heaven who already worship Him in the splendor rightly due Him.  We find ourselves aligned with all of creation that, in every far-reaching galaxy and every microscopic atom, declares His glory.  We find ourselves connected to the Lord’s universal church, with worship of Him that spans every continent and people from all the ages past, present and yet to come.  And we find what our heart longs for and are satisfied in more than anything and anyone else; for to worship Him is to find Him and to truly find Him, most assuredly, will be to truly worship Him.  Let’s worship Him now.
