Christ the King Church

local believers

Christ the King Church is a fellowship of Christian believers. We are committed to the good news . . . that God is good, and He saves sinners. We meet on Sundays at 4:oo pm in Room #330 of The Belfast Center (9 Field St., Belfast). The service is followed by a potluck.

Isaiah 53 . . . by Joseph Littlefield

Isaiah 53

All we like sheep have sadly gone astray

We have turned everyone to our own ways

We have chosen self and rejected God

We have loved our sin and its stench of rot

And in pain our souls could rightly end that way

It is what we deserve the plight of judgment day

But God was pleased for Him to be crushed low

He was despised by men and poured out His soul

And by His stripes we can all be healed

He embraced all our grief as His to feel

The wounds He suffered were ours to own

For our iniquities He was all alone

So like a lamb that’s met its slaughter death

He bore our sins and gave up His breath

But the Righteousness One was very fit to justify

The life we live is by the death He died

And He rose to life as the Perfect Lamb

To redeem His bride as the Great I Am

Lamb of God

Holy one

Sent from heavn’

The faithful Son

Lamb of God

Gift of life

He bled and died

And rose as the mighty Christ
