Christ the King Church

local believers

Christ the King Church is a fellowship of Christian believers. We are committed to the good news . . . that God is good, and He saves sinners. We meet on Sundays at 4:oo pm in Room #330 of The Belfast Center (9 Field St., Belfast). The service is followed by a potluck.

Our Father . . . by Joe Littlefield

Our Father.  Our Heavenly Father.  Abba Father.  Father of the Fatherless.  Father of the oppressed. Father of the rebellious prodigal.  Father of the rebellious older brother.  Our Father with a heart that longs for His children; a heart that smiles at the thought of His children; a heart that enjoys their company.

A father of who it is said in Zephaniah 3:17, “is with you, He is mighty to save.  He will take great delight in you.  He will quiet you with His love.  He will rejoice over you with singing.”  Save…Delight…Quiet…Rejoice.  He is a perfect Father who sings a song of rejoicing over you; rejoicing over you.  God our Father rejoicing over you.  He stoops low to save us who desperately need rescuing; to delight in us who feel undelightful; to quiet us who are anxious and afraid; to break out in joyful song …singing to His precious child.  He sings to you – His precious child.
